The State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, along with its associated and subordinate institutions, cooperates with international organizations and countries to enhance national legislative documents and international treaties and agreements in which Azerbaijan is a participant, prepare new draft documents in areas such as antitrust, unfair competition, public procurement, advertising, standardization, metrology, technical regulation, conformity assessment, accreditation, quality management, consumer rights protection, and consumer market control, as well as determining the country of origin of goods.
Maintaining effective and mutual relations with international economic organizations and financial institutions plays a crucial role in ensuring the State Service’s activities consistently align with international standards. Relations with organizations such as the CIS, GUAM, the European Accreditation Organization, International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), European Committee for Standardization (CEN), General Conference on Weights and Measures (International Meteorological Organization), International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML), Coomet Regional Metrology Organization (Euro-Asian Cooperation of National Metrological Institutions), CIS Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification, and the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), among others, are noteworthy.
